    Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll assess your current level, talk about your goals, and introduce our teaching approach. It’s also a great chance to ask questions and see if our lessons are the right fit for you—no pressure, just learning.
  • Are the lessons customized for my level and goals?
    Absolutely. Every lesson is tailored to your level, pace, and learning objectives. Whether you're studying for the JLPT, improving conversation, or learning casually, we’ll build the right curriculum for you.
  • What language do you use in lessons—Japanese or English?
    Our lessons are primarily conducted in Japanese, but don’t worry—English support is available when needed, especially for beginners. We adjust the language use to suit your comfort and growth.
  • Can I take a trial lesson?
    Yes! We recommend booking a trial or intake session to discuss your goals and experience a sample lesson before committing to a package.
  • How can I schedule lessons after purchasing a lesson package?
    After purchasing a lesson package, you can log in to your student account and access your online booking calendar. From there, simply choose your preferred dates and times that match your availability and time zone. All sessions must be booked within the package validity period, and you’re free to plan at your own pace.
  • What’s your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
    We understand that life can be unpredictable. Here’s how we handle changes: Yes, you can cancel or reschedule lessons up to 24 hours before the start time through your student account. Simply log in to this website and go to “My Booking.” After the 24-hour window, changes are no longer possible and the lesson credit will be used. As well as canceling late, if you arrive more than 10 minutes late without notice or do not show up, the lesson will be considered used and the credit will be deducted.
  • How long is each lesson, and how often should I take them?
    Most lessons are 55 minutes long. We recommend 1–2 sessions per week for steady progress, but you’re free to adjust based on your goals and schedule.
  • Do you accept Japanese Yen (JPY)?
    All payments are securely processed via Stripe, and yes—JPY is accepted. The currency will automatically convert to your local currency at checkout, depending on your location and payment method. If you prefer to pay directly in JPY, just let us know and we’ll assist you with the process.
  • Can I purchase a package and schedule lessons later?
    Yes, you can purchase a lesson package now and schedule the sessions at your own pace through your student account. Just make sure to use all credits within the validity period.
  • Can you provide an invoice for my purchase?
    Yes, we’re happy to provide one. Just contact us with your billing details.
  • What’s your refund policy?
    We do not offer refunds for unused or partially used lesson packages. If a technical issue occurs on our side, we’ll reschedule or refund the affected lesson. Stripe processing fees will be deducted from any applicable refunds. We reserve the right to cancel lessons due to unforeseen technical disruptions. In such cases, unused credits will be refunded.
  • Is the teacher a native speaker and qualified?
    Yes. All lessons are taught by Marie, native Japanese teacher with extensive experience and training in language education. Marie is passionate about supporting every learner—whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced speaker.
  • What platform do you use for online lessons?
    We use Zoom for all lessons. It’s reliable, secure, and user-friendly—even if you're not tech-savvy. A link is automatically generated and sent to you upon booking.
  • Do you teach students outside Japan?
    Absolutely! We serve learners worldwide—including students in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. All bookings adjust automatically to your local time zone.
  • Do you teach children?
    Yes! We offer tailored lessons for children ages 10 and up. Lessons are personalized to each learner’s age, goals, and level.
  • Can parents observe or get updates about their child’s progress?
    Yes. Parents are welcome to observe the first session and can request regular progress updates. We prioritize safety, learning effectiveness, and open communication with families.
  • What technology do I need for online lessons?
    To ensure a smooth and engaging lesson experience, you’ll need: A stable internet connection A device with a working camera and microphone Your camera turned on during the lesson This will allow you to experience online lessons just as engaging as classical in-person lessons.
